The Student Center for Belonging and Community (SCBC) hosts a continuum of events and activities that aim to support students whose identities and experiences have been historically underrepresented within higher education. Through intentionally crafted events, workshops, cross-campus collaborations, and celebrations, the SCBC honors what makes students unique and provides space for them to envision and see the center as a place to learn, build capacity and empathy for others. We also hope that students will  be able to call the center a ‘home away from home’ during their time at Bates.
