Law and Society (C013)

GEC Coordinator: Stephen Engel

The "law" as embodied in its text, institutions, function, and outcomes both shapes and is shaped by the culture and society in which it exists. This concentration encourages students to explore the place of law in societies from a variety of disciplines and perspectives.

Complete any four courses designated with the (C013) GEC attribute from a minimum of three departments/programs. No more than one non-Bates credit, pre-approved by the concentration coordinator, may be applied toward this concentration. One independent study, pre-approved by the coordinator, may also count toward the concentration.
